SingatehSingateh is a Gambian artist that has a lot on his plate. The lad from Bansang has yet another great job offer. He has been asked by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to do the theme song for this year’s Roots Homecoming Festival.

 

Breaking the news on his Facebook page, Singateh wrote: “I got a call from the MINISTER OF TOURISM that I got a contract. I’m the one they recommended to do the THEME SONG FOR THIS YEAR ROOTS HOME COMING FESTIVAL.”

 

The Gambian international star has already started working on the song, together with mbalax/RnB singer, Mam Balla.

 

The Roots International Festival is a biannual festival aimed at commemorating the forced enslavement and shipment of millions to the Americans and the Caribbean region. It attracts mainly African-Americans.
