An embarrassed candidate who got only two votes in last week’s National Assembly elections has vanished from public view.
Kebba Yoro Manneh, a famous football commentator, stood as independent candidate in Janjangbureh in the Central River Region.
Many burst into laughter when the chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), Alieu Momar Njie announced that he received only two votes.
According to a source close to Kebba Yorro: “It was humiliating and still he couldn’t believe that his family and friends abandoned him for his opponents.”
Someone should have told him that he wasn’t popular in Janjangbureh!
