Afrodeezy Njie becomes latest Gambian to appear in Senegalese TV series

Afrodeezy Njie has become the new sensation in town for starring in a Senegalese TV drama which started airing on Tfm a few months ago.

She is the only non-Senegalese on the TV-series, YouTaxi which is purposely created to promote Youssou Ndour’s upcoming Bercy concert slated for the 18th November 2017 in Bercy, France.

The drama series which has attracted more than one million views on YouTube also stars the famous Senegalese, Daro.

Afrodeezy is no stranger to the airwaves and television screen in The Gambia. She was a presenter at Afri radio before joining Banjul Night Live to co-present the famous talk show which promotes the creative talents of young Gambians.

The YouTaxi star won praises for her incredible performance on the series most especially for staying true to her Gambian accent.

She is described by many as a multi-talented lady who doesn't settle for anything less.

Commenting on the recent episode of YouTaxi, one Ida Kah Fall wrote:  “You making Gambian people so proud I am really happy for you to keep it up.”

It's not yet clear whether the series cast will accompany the  Senegalese superstar to Bercy for the concert.
