A little boy’s headless body was recently found in Kotu, but no one has been arrested or charged with his gruesome and terrifying murder.
It happened near Apple Tree International School, an area frequented by children. The body was discovered by a passer-by and a few minutes later police officers raced to the scene.
They found the headless child lying on his back and naked.
Despite the attention the incident generated, police are still not able to make any significant progress leaving many Gambians desperate for answers.
In an interview with What’s On-Gambia, Superintendent David Kujabi said a post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday, but it could take weeks before the report is completed.
According to him, they are still struggling to identify the boy.
Meanwhile, there are rumours that he was killed for ritual purposes. The little boy’s head is still missing.
