Fatou Camara is no longer hiding her admiration for Sierra Leone’s First Lady, and for some people, it's hard to know exactly what to make of it. Is she sincere? Is she trying to rattle Fatoumata Bah-Barrow’s cage?
The famous journalist was recently in Washington DC to witness Fatima Jabbe and her husband, President Julius Maada Bio’s town hall meeting with the Sierra Leonean community in the United States.
According to her, she was invited by the Sierra Leonean First Lady.
Shortly before the town hall meeting, Fatou took to Facebook to inform her followers that Fatima, who once lived in the Gambia, was named in the Global 100 list of the most influential people of African descent alongside the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
One of her followers, Bulli Sowe commented: “This is what I called a First Lady and mother of a Nation. Congratulations, Madam Bio. We are so proud of you.”
However, some of Fatou’s followers were baffled over why she is cheering for the Sierra Leonean First Lady. And what’s the beef between her and Fatoumata Bah -Barrow?
Facebook user, Sulaiman N'abania Dukure told her: “Let’s support our First Lady.”
Another follower, Saikou Fofana commented: “Fatoumata Bah- Barrow we have and we are so proud of her.”
In a recent interview with one of her journalists at the Fatu Network, Fatu disclosed she will no longer support President Adama Barrow, saying he lacks empathy.
