More than 70 youngsters to learn basketball skills this summer

Hope Project Gambia's 2019 Summer Camp is expected to offer more than 70 young Gambians the platform to learn the basics of basketball under the guidance of experienced coaches.

The association's founder said their main goal is to use basketball to build leadership skills in youngsters.

"More than 70 young people from different parts of the Greater Banjul Area would take part in this year's summer camp.

"Besides the basketball training, we would be inviting successful Gambians from different walks of life to share their stories, the importance of education and the highs and lows of their journey."

The Hope Project Gambia is a community-based initiative that uses basketball to educate, empower, nurture and inspire young people.
