A teacher in Brikama has allegedly given his wife D200 as transport fare and told her to leave the house immediately, according to the woman.
The woman, who contacted What’s On-Gambia, said she was left with nowhere to go with the couple’s two children, a boy and a girl.
“He gave me D200 and told me that he doesn’t want to see me again in the house,” she alleged.
She added: “We have two children, a boy and a girl. I have nowhere to go with the children.”
According to the woman, she and her husband had previously been living with their children in Banjul before relocating to Brikama, where her husband is currently posted by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
The woman also alleged that her husband is involved in an extramarital relationship with a young woman who, she claimed, has become pregnant.
She further alleged that the two are attempting to terminate the pregnancy.
“The lady has been sending him naked pictures and videos. I have all the evidence on my phone. They both work in the same school,” she claimed.
The woman said she is now seeking help and does not know where she and her two children will stay following the alleged eviction.
