The stage is set for the Ariwa Back To Africa Festival starting on the 5th -7th February in Batukunku.
A group of British musicians are already in the country warming up for the famous festival that attracts both locals and tourists.
One of the organisers told What’s On-Gambia: “The festival will run for 3 days with a Lovers Rock Party on the beach on Sunday. The Gambia LOVES music especially reggae, so you will all know what a privilege it is to have the Ariwa crew choose The Gambia as a destination to hold a party.”
Chris Payne is among the artists performing at the festival alongside teenage beatboxer, Zaq Dixon. It is Chris’ first appearance in the country and he is hoping to establish a fan base in the country.
Other musicians booked for the Ariwa Back To Africa Festival include Brother Culture, Pan Africanist, Black Steel and Gerry Ranks.
