Nigerian star Asake is dominating music streaming in The Gambia, appearing on four of the top six songs on the Apple Music Gambia chart for the week of July 12, 2026.
Asake’s “Forgiveness” occupies the number-one position. Victony’s “SLICK” follows at number two, while Blaqbonez and Asake’s “Chanel” sits at number three. Asake’s “Gratitude” is fourth, Mia Guisse and VJ’s “Sama Xool” is fifth, and “WHY LOVE” gives Asake another appearance at number six.

Gambian performers are also represented further down the Top 100. The chart lists 1KEHN’s “CHAAA!!!” at number 36, a Seckabeatz track featuring Myk Jayda at number 52, Jizzle’s “Heavyweight” at number 53, Attack’s “Pain” at number 63 and Nyancho’s “Wololu” at number 77.
The rankings underline the strong influence Nigerian and Senegalese music continues to have on Gambian listeners. At the same time, the presence of local artists shows that Gambian music can compete for attention when releases receive sustained promotion and audience support.
