Celebrating 50 years of independence: Masta Lion Promotion brings the Morgan brothers

The Jamaican brothers, Peetah and Gramps Morgan are returning to the Gambian stage.

What’s On-Gambiahas been reliably informed that the Morgan Heritage vocalists will be performing at the Brikama Boxba on the 14th February, 2014. They are also the hot favorite for a headline slot at the Independence Jubilee Concert.

On the 18th February, The Gambia will be commemorating its 50th anniversary as an independent nation. According to a source, the government is prepared to ensure a memorable celebration.

The last time the Morgan brothers were in the country, they met president Jammeh. The organizers, Masta Lion Promotion told What’s On-Gambia that the Jamaican superstars are in love with the Smiling Coast.

Their February appearance is expected to attract thousands of reggae enthusiasts. International reggae singers hardly flop in The Gambia.

The Morgan Heritage, with Peetah as lead vocalist, was established in 1991. The band's many hits include Let's Make Up, People Are Fighting, Set Yourself Free, Mama and Papa and Protect Us Jah.
