The Rewi Gambia singer, who gave birth to her second son in the USA, is back in the studio working on a new album. 

“I'm working on some new songs to be released soon Insha Allah,” Cess Ngum told What’s On-Gambia. 

The mum-of-two has roped in American-born producer, Bilal to help her take a new direction with her music.  

The fans unquestionably miss her and her wonderful voice. The last time she was heard in public was on Wah Sa Halat Talk Show on West Coast Radio, where she called to encourage her fellow female singers. 

Cess left the music scene to focus on family life with husband Ebrima JT Kujabi and their two little boys, both born in the USA.  She confirmed her comeback to the music scene with a new promo photo – still looking amazing! 

Despite her long absence, she is still hugely famous.  Cess is one of the country’s most progressive female artists.
