Sista Njie got married to reggae dancehall singer, ENC last weekend. She became the first bride to walk the red carpet on a Bakoteh street.

According to sources, it was an expensive wedding that was well-attended. Now the question is: Did the famous radio presenter manage to profit from her guests.  We all know that weddings are a huge chance to raise money.

Let’s do the math: Majority of Sista Njie’s invitees are celebrities, and cash is the standard gift at all Gambian weddings.

The expectation is that she will take in more money than the cost of the wedding, and will use the proceeds to improve her position in the society.

“Sista is a people person.  I am sure all the people she invited came,  and I don’t expect someone like Jatou Mbowe or Mam Malen Njie to present her nothing less than D500,” said our source.

The amount of money the Wahsahalat presenter made is still unknown to What’s On-Gambia, but our guess is that she profited from the wedding.
