Gambian singer Diha has officially ended her break from the music industry. In a message shared with What’s On-Gambia, she revealed that she is preparing to release a brand-new music video, marking her long-awaited comeback.

“I’m reaching out to share something important—I’m officially returning to the music scene,” Diha wrote. “After stepping away for personal reasons, I’ve spent time healing, growing, and reflecting. Now, I’m back—with more fire, purpose, and hunger than ever. This time, it’s different.”
When asked about the reason behind her hiatus, Diha opened up about the challenges she faced as a woman in the music industry.
“There were many situations where certain people, especially men, didn’t take me seriously as an artist. They would promise to collaborate, but once I made it clear that I was only interested in music, their attitude would change.”
Despite those setbacks, Diha says she’s returning stronger and wiser, with the right team supporting her. Fans can expect a powerful new chapter from the talented singer.
