The granddaughter of former president, Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara has launched an extraordinary Facebook attack on the What's On-Gambia team, after finding herself the subject of one of their jokes.
What's On-Gambia, which is fastly becoming the country's most popular online media, jokingly wrote on its Facebook page that Fatoumatta Katz Jawara was about to tie the knot with popular producer, Moeblac.
The naive and loudmouthed Katz took to Facebook to vent her anger. She went so far to insult the parents of the What's On-Gambia team.
She wrote: “What’s On Gambia sen cha pan dey....I don't even talk to Moeblac so what are they trying to say?"
TV presenter Ida Bidwell, who was the main subject of the joke, wasn't the least upset. She laughed it off and was like, "yen case ngen."
A source close to Katz said: "She was really angry and said she dislikes Moeblac and anything to do with him. They don't talk to each other. I am sure that is why she was so furious with the joke."
Responding to Katz's public outburst, the editor of What's On-Gambia said." We don't have problem with people criticizing and insulting us, but to insult our parents was totally out of order. Ok, she's young. So a bit of advice. Good manners cost you nothing, but enrich you considerably."
Katz, who is the coordinator of Manding Morry's fans club, is well known for being a spoilt brat. Recently, she accused some girls of giving What's On-Gambia information about her messy love relationship with Manding Morry.
What's On-Gambiahopes the ‘privileged’ girl will learn a lesson from her mistakes, and stop showering insults on people's parents. Katz’s granddad is a highly respected former leader, and he is still adored by Gambians. Because of the huge respect we have for her family, we decided not to return insult for insult.
Meanwhile, the What’s On-Gambia team is looking for a babysitter to keep an eye on Katz Jawara. We don’t want her to leave her pram again and start throwing toys all over the place. Apply now!
