After making millions of Dalasi while in State House, Jammeh has become one of the biggest land barons in the country, surpassing even the late Chief of Kombo Central, Sanjally Bojang.
Reports gathered by What’s On-Gambia revealed that he owns more than 300 homes in Banjul (BJL), Kanifing Municipality (KM) and West Coast Region (WCR) thus making him the Gambian lord of lands.
One of his acquisitions is the main office of the country’s leading daily newspaper, Daily Observer.
A former senior staff revealed: “He owns the place and we all knew about it when he bought it.”
According to a source, the former leader only buys land that are already developed and well located.
