After postponing his guest appearance at Gee’s album launching, and dealing with the shocking death of his mother, Demarco is now ready to perform at the Independence Stadium.

The concert will take place on the 10th January. Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, the main organizer, Gee said: “I promised The Gambia Demarco, and my word means everything to me as an artist.”

The rapper, who recently made history by becoming the first Gambian artist to launch an album at the stadium, added: “I want to apologise to my fans that were at the stadium on the 19th December. They wanted me more on the stage, but things didn’t go as planned. I should have given them more than usual. But you know what? I would make it up on the 10th January.”

According to Gee, Demarco will be flying from Jamaica. He will be in the country for one week.

“The organinising team is planning a road show to celebrate his arrival. There will also be a press conference,” said the Bul Falleh Nyee hit maker.

Demarco is described as one the most exciting young singers in the reggae world. He created rhythms for Styles P and Free from 106 &Park, as well for Elephant Man.
