Gee and Manding Morry clash over album launching dates

The battle for superiority between Gee and Manding Morry looks set to boil out of control. Both stars are launching their new albums in December 2014.

Since the announcement that Gee has moved his launching to the Independence Stadium, Manding Morry’s management team has intensified their publicity outreach.

In a press release sent to What’s On-Gambia, Joluv Arts’ communication officer, Saikou Suwareh Jambai wrote: “Manding Morry’s upcoming album will stimulate the minds of the people and let them know what Joluv Arts have created.”

A member of Team Gee said his rapper earned his credibility on the basis of hard work and not underhand tactics.

Gee, who is in a promotional mood, has on Monday released his poster.  He wrote on Facebook: “A night I'm actually looking forward to! It's not just an album launching.. It's gonna have that Party in the Park theme.”

The famous musicians have both denied any bad blood between them.

A Gambian music pundit described the situation as ‘unfortunate but avoidable.’

“The Gambian music industry is small and still growing hence it is not viable to have two big album launchings clashing in the same weekend.”

The pundit attributed the clash between Gee and Manding Morry to lack of communication between them.

More on the clash coming soon!
