The management of the Gambia Radio Television Services (GRTS) has said the national broadcaster is set to switch from analogue to digital broadcasting.
According to a press release, the digitization would improve broadcast transmission and increase viewing figures.
The GRTS management is hoping that with an increase in viewer base and the introduction of new programs, new market opportunities would be created for the national broadcaster.
The technicians are currently busy making the finishing touches.
GRTS has been struggling with ratings for some time now. The country’s first and only TV station has seen a significant drop in viewing figures.
