Haddy Suso tells Diaspora women to stop marrying men in Gambia

New York-based Gambian woman, Haddy Suso has advised her fellow women in the Diaspora to stop marrying men in The Gambia.

She told What's On-Gambia: "Many girls here in America are suffering because of their husbands in The Gambia. They work so hard to help them but the only thing they know is cheating and lying".

Haddy continued: "If we can speak up without people judging us, many young women will come out on the media to empty their hearts. Some are going through stress and depression and others who luckily got out of their marriages don’t want to get married again.

"The majority of the men back in The Gambia are cheaters and fake. They don’t even know how to make a woman happy. I know Gambian women here who are now dating Ivorians, Malians and other nationalities because they treat us better. I can give you a list of Gambian women who are going through hell right now."

Haddy was once married to a man in The Gambia.
