A street in Kololi has becomes the Gambia's newest hotspot for sex workers, along with other criminal activities.
A resident, who begged for anonymity, disclosed to What's On-Gambia that there has been an uptick in prostitutes in their area in the past six months.
"They are here every night, walking up and down the street and the cars never stop coming," he said.
According to him, most of them are non-Gambians from West African countries like Sierra Leone, Senegal, Nigeria and Guinea Conakry.
He claimed that some of the prostitutes have their own apartments in the area, where they entertain their clients. He estimated that on a good night, a woman earns more than D10,,000.
A former Nigerian prostitute in Senegambia, Benita Robert once revealed to the Police that she used to sleep with up to 15 men a night for a D100 per session.
