In an interview with What’s On-Gambia, socialite girl, Ya Amie Jobe has again dismissed the rumor that she is dating champion wrestler, Modou Lo. She also stressed that her bitter feud with Janine Maroun, another socialite girl has nothing to do with Janine’s sister, Zainab Hellen Maroun (Balla Gaye II’s wife). 

In her own words, “I am not dating Modou Lo. It’s a lie and that my problem with Janine has nothing to do with Hellen.” 

Rumors are swirling around town that Ya Amie and Janine parted ways as a result of Ya Amie’s decision to date Modou Lo, an archrival to Janine’s brother-in-law, Balla Gaye II. 

Responding to the rumor, Janine vehemently denied that it was her sister, who banned her from seeing Ya Amie. “That's a lie and I mean a very big one… my sister has nothing to do with my friends apart from advising US as a sister. My sister or Modou Lo has nothing to do with our problem.” 

It’s not a secret that the two girls were best of friends. A source told us: “Their families were very close and Janine and Ya Amie were like blood sisters. I don’t know what went wrong but they should really try to resolve it for the sake of their two families.”

Ya Amie refused to disclose to our reporter the reasons of the vicious feud between them. She said, “That will be so childish of me exposing my problem on the internet, only attention seekers does that to get people to back them up.” 

She added, “I don’t have a problem with Hellen Maroun. I only have a problem with Janine. In a nut shell, it’s personal. All the rumors you are hearing are just lies. I have no clue where you got this story from. Your source gave you wrong information. In fact why does someone have to fabricate such lies and what will the person gain from it? Ramadan len ne ka nitt nyi ragal len sunj borrom.” 

A disappointed Zainab Hellen Maroun wrote to our reporter, “I wonder where you get your information from. If you need answers ask the person directly I guess it's better than writing whatever someone else said or fabricated!! It's Ramadan for God and heaven sake!! A holy month!! Do what's right and say the truth!!” 

Our reporter tried to secure an interview with her, but only to realize that she has deactivated her Facebook account.
