Is it worth all the drama, Sillaba? Popular businessman badmouths ex-wife on social media

Sometimes break ups can be painful. Popular businessman, Sillaba Samateh has launched an attack against his ex-wife in a bizarre Facebook rant.

So immature of a father with grown-up children!

Sillaba called his ex a gold digger – and claimed he spent thousands of euros on her.

But a source that used to be close to the former couple said: “He’s lying. Besides, what’s wrong with showering gifts on your wife? I don’t think Sillaba is mentally stable.”

Sillaba’s verbal assault seems to stem from his inability to win her ex-wife back.

“He is still in love with the girl. The marriage was very short and I am sure he wants her back,” added our source.

Some Gambians online were not the least pleased with the businessman’s strange behavior. They felt it was very childish of him to take to Facebook to vent anger against a young lady, who is well known in the Gambian-American community for being hardworking.

“Real men don’t pick quarrels with women. He is becoming more like a cyber bully,” one of them said.

Sillaba, who is based in the Netherlands and married to three other women, is likely to be contacted by the US Embassy in The Haguefor posting a copy of his ex-wife’s passport on Facebook – compromising her personal details.

The ex-wife has not yet responded to his foulmouthed ranting. When contacted by What’s On-Gambia, she said: “I don’t want to talk. Let Sillaba continue with his madness. I know a lot about him and his dubious ways of making money. There’s no fool like an old one.”

She promised to grant us an exclusive interview when the time is ripe.
