A Ghanaian woman residing in Tujereng, Brenda, has denied allegations that she has been scamming Gambian men she meets online.

The accusation emerged after a young man told What’s On-Gambia that Brenda allegedly asked him for D150 in exchange for sex – an offer he said he refused. He further claimed she attempted to approach his friend as well.

The man shared a WhatsApp message he said came from Brenda, in which she allegedly wrote:

“My dear, even though we just met, it feels like destiny connected us. Can you wave me 150 so I can subscribe my WiFi now? I am craving to hear your sweet voice. I can already imagine us laughing and talking deep like the ocean breeze at Kunta Kinteh Island.”

According to him, Brenda also sent four photos of herself – non-explicit, but ordinary images.

When contacted regarding the allegations, Brenda firmly denied any wrongdoing.

“I am not a scammer, and I will never be,” she said. “Is it a bad thing to ask someone for assistance? He said he likes me and wants to sleep with me as his sexmate, and I told him I am not into that.”
