A man has divorced his wife of 12 years after meeting a much younger woman from the Central River Region.
The man, his wife and their seven children were deported from Germany after their asylum application was refused by the German immigration authorities.
According to a source, he allegedly received a significant amount of money from the non-governmental organization, Caritas to buy a taxi to support his seven children.
But his wife, who's now singled-handedly taking care of the children, revealed: "Ibrahim married another woman, a little over 3 weeks ago. He no longer comes to see the children."
She continued: "He left my children and me for another woman he barely knows. The taxi he bought was abandoned in a forest after a breakdown while returning from Bansang to visit his new wife.
"I don't receive support from him anymore and neither do my children. My situation is critical right now."
Their seven children, who are between 8 to 3 years old, were all born in Germany. They recently started school as they integrate into The Gambia.
