A shocking domestic dispute ended in tragedy after a young woman was pushed off a balcony by her husband during a heated argument in Dakar, Senegal.
What reportedly began as a joke between the couple quickly spiralled out of control. Media reports claim the woman suddenly grabbed her husband’s private parts and squeezed them hard. In a moment of pain and panic, the man pushed her away, sending her plunging from the balcony below.
The woman suffered fatal injuries from the fall and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were immediately alerted and arrested the husband as investigators moved in to piece together the bizarre and tragic chain of events.
The incident has sparked fierce public debate. Some people are defending the man, claiming he acted in self-defence and reacted instinctively to intense pain. “Anyone would react,” one supporter said, arguing that such an action can be extremely painful.
Others, however, insist the man must face justice. Critics argue he should have known the danger of pushing someone from a height and that he could have shouted for her to let go instead of using force.
If charged and convicted, the man could face several years in prison for manslaughter.
Senegalese authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
