You probably have heard about him and how much he is loved by the young people of The Gambia.
Alieu K. Jammeh is unquestionably the coolest minister in President’s Jammeh’s cabinet. He is humble, intelligent, down to earth, easy-going, warm, great listener and honest.
Born in Illiasa, Alieu was appointed as the Minister of Youth and Sports in February 2012. He holds dual master’s degrees from Malaysia and England.
One Lamin Drammeh, who once worked with him in developing grassroots football in the county, described him as “a shining example of a charismatic leader.”
In a Facebook post in May 2016, Taslima Jallow of Your Change for a Change (YCFaC) said with Alieu the future of Gambian youths is bright.
“He is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. This is what I call a charismatic leader.”
What’s On-Gambia’s co-founder, Alieu Khan once met the minister during one of his visits in The Gambia.
“He is a jovial and outgoing person. Alieu has very good public relations. He is my favorite minister!”
