Personal life

Her father was a popular businessman in Banjul, but Maimuna was raised by Lawyer Ousainou Darboe. A source told us: “She is named after Darboe’s wife, Mai Ndure.”

Marriage

We were unable to confirm how she met Mai Ahmad Fatty, but our source revealed: “It could be possible they were introduced by Darboe’s wife.”

Mai rarely posts photos with her politician husband on social media. The couple are so secretive that they rarely appear together in public.

France

Mai lives in France, but What’s On-Gambia was unable to confirm whether she has French citizenship.  She recently gave birth to a baby boy in France.
