The death of Ebrima Camara has left many villagers in Kiang Karantaba searching for answers about what happened in the hours before he was found hanging inside his guardian’s shop.

Initial reports suggested that Ebrima took his own life after allegedly being accused by his guardian’s wife of attempting to rape her while his guardian was away in the neighboring village of Burong with his second wife.

According to those reports, Ebrima was deeply affected by the accusation and allegedly decided to end his life. When his guardian was informed of what had happened, he reportedly rushed back to the scene by bicycle, where he found Ebrima hanging inside the shop.

However, new allegations have emerged, raising questions about whether Ebrima died by suicide or was killed and the scene staged to make it appear as though he had taken his own life.

Some villagers have alleged that Ebrima may have been murdered before a rope was placed around his neck and his body was suspended from the ceiling.

A source also disclosed that Ebrima’s mother is deceased and that little is known about his father, raising further questions about his circumstances and family background.

The police have since launched an investigation to establish what happened. Both the guardian and his wife have reportedly been arrested and are assisting the police as investigations continue.

Police are expected to determine whether Ebrima died by suicide or whether foul play was involved. Until the investigation is concluded, the allegations surrounding his death remain unconfirmed.
