Reggae singer, Dr Olugander is in the country after a brief stay in Germany and Finland. He is using his return to raise money for the Blind School of The Gambia.
The Faji Kunda –born star is staging a Welcome Back Show at the Serre Kunda East Football Field. According to him the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Blind School.
Olugander has also launched his own foundation to help disadvantaged Gambians. He said: “It’s my way of saying thank you to my people for the support they offered me since I started my music career.â€
In 2010, the music doctor made a significant donation to flood disaster victims in the Kanifing Municipality and also helped in rehabilitating toilets in Wassu Upper Basic School.
The Welcome Back Show is scheduled to take place on Friday, 14th January, 2013. According to Olugander more than 12 artists are set to make guest appearance – these artists include: Jali Madi, Jalex, Nancy Mboob, Nova, King Pata, Bala Ranks, Mighty Joe and Jr. Kanda.
