Jali Madi is currently in the middle of his tour of schools in Åland, Finland.
On Monday, he met a group of young people at a special vocational school. Jali Madi spoke to them about afro-manding music, his career, and also offered them a taste of some of his hit songs. One of the youngsters suggested that he should sign up for the Swedish Idol.
The singer, who is visiting the famous island for the first time, also met pupils of Strandnäs skola. The meeting was covered by Åland’s Radio, Åland 24 TV and Nya Åland Newspaper.
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, Jali Madi said: “This a total new experience for me, but I am really enjoying it. My intention is to take my music to every corner of the world.”
According to the tour coordinator Alieu Khan, the Jarabi hit maker will be having a studio session with three local artists on Saturday at the island’s main library.
The tour ends on 27th October. Jali Madi is expected in The Gambia soon.
