Rambo suggests Ahmadiyya’s might sponsor Essa Faal to run for president

When asked why he doesn't have confidence in Essa Faal, APRC's deputy party leader said: "Lead counsel has an agenda."

Speaking in a conversation with journalist Omar Wally, Ousman Rambo Jatta appeared to insinuate that the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission's deputy lead counsel, Essa Faal would run for president in the 2021 presidential election.

"I was hinted that the Ahmadiyyas want to sponsor a presidential candidate. So don't be surprised if you hear that Essa Faal belongs to a political party. Don't be surprised."

According to the Bakau-born politician, who once served as deputy permanent secretary at the Office of the President, Faal is using the TRRC to gain political prominence.

He described the TRRC as a "bogus commission" that is out to destroy Jammeh's legacy at all cost.

Rambo argued the former President was a good leader who bettered the lives of so many Gambians.
