The Gambia's most opportunistic and prostituted politician, Mambanyick Njie is now the administrative secretary for President Adama Barrow's National People's Party.
The former Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) propaganda secretary confirmed his appointment to Standard Newspaper's Omar Bah.
Mambanyick started his political career in the National Reconciliation Party (NRP), where he was the publicity secretary until in 2006 when he joined the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).
Sources revealed he ditched the NRP because the party leader, Hamat Bah refused to help him secure a visa to the United States. He later accused the party of having neither a bank account nor an executive committee.
The opportunistic politician, who was born in Nuimi, was made deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports after joining the APRC. He was later promoted to permanent secretary after completing his master's degree at the Middlesex University in the United Kingdom.
Shortly after the end of Jammeh's 22-year-old rule, Mambanyick ran to the GDC and was appointed as its new propaganda secretary at a general meeting at the Boabab Hotel. He resigned from the GDC last year to join Barrow's NPP.
