A young fast-rising reggae dancehall star is poised to create an impact in the Gambian music scene. His name is ENC and he’s no stranger to Gambian music lovers.
He is undoubtedly a talented singer, who has contributed a lot in igniting the dancehall scene with his hit singles like Nyamba Kawass and Money. Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, ENC disclosed that he is the first Gambian artist to drop a dancehall mixtape containing 25 songs.
The Brikama-born singer further disclosed: “The songs were compiled and mixed by RicoVibes and DaFlava radio in Atlanta, USA.â€
With more than five hit singles under his belt, the dancehall singer is now ready to take his music outside the boundaries of the country. When asked about his future plans, ENC said: “I’m working on a dancehall compilation CD called Girls Segment and the aim is to take Gambian music to the clubs and on the streets.â€
Couple of weeks ago, he released the single Girls Segment (also the title of his upcoming CD) and already it’s generating a huge buzz. “The single is taking the airwaves by storm,†said a happy ENC.
The money singer, who also works as a DJ at West Coast Radio, will be releasing the Girls Segment CD compilation in December, 2013. According to him, his main objective is to put Gambian dancehall back on the world map.
ENC is currently engaged to outspoken radio presenter, Sista Njie and fans are eagerly waiting for them to announce their wedding plans.
