A bizarre and disturbing family drama has unfolded in Farato, where a man’s secret attempt to marry his wife’s younger sister is tearing his household apart.
According to information obtained by What’s On-Gambia, the man reportedly consulted a well-known marabout, Ahmet Faal, seeking spiritual intervention to make the younger sister fall in love with him.
The source said the man’s intentions were clear: “He told the marabout that he wanted to share a bed with the girl and also asked him to block her from being attracted to other men.”
In leaked WhatsApp voice messages, the marabout instructed the man to perform a bizarre ritual, involving three white kola nuts and five bananas, to be given as charity to an elderly woman.
The young woman, shocked and distressed, spoke exclusively to What’s On-Gambia. “This man is married to my sister, and they have two children together, with another baby on the way. I have lived with them for 10 years and never suspected he saw me in that way,” she said.
She also revealed a disturbing past incident: “I once caught him peeping at me while I was in the shower. I reported it to my sister.”
The young woman has since moved out and is now staying with her family in Essau, Lower Niumi. Her sister, devastated by the betrayal, is also reportedly planning to end the marriage.
