Afrodeezy Njie has disclosed that she suffered sexual abuse at the hands of a Gambian living in Saudi Arabia.

The Banjul NightLive presenter, who once lived in Saudi Arabia, said she is prepared to share her story in an e-mail conversation with What’s On-Gambia.

The assault happened when she was young and living with her family in the wealthy Middle Eastern country. 

According to Afrodeezy, she was sexually abused over a period of six years. The nature of the abuse and how it affected the TV presenter is still unknown to What’s On-Gambia.

Girls who experience violence suffer a range of health problems, and can also affect their ability to participate effectively in society.

We are trying to secure an interview with Afrodeezy to find out how she overcame her painful past and transformed her life. She is unquestionably one of the most respected media personalities in the country.
