St Peter's Technical Junior and Senior Secondary School recently held its 36th graduation ceremony at the school grounds and guess what? Eliana Jarju was the star of the evening once again as she picked six prizes.
In addition to being named as one of the three most outstanding students of the year, Eliana received Best Physics Student, Best English Language Student, Best Technical Drawing Student and Best Agricultural Science Student.
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia shortly after collecting her prizes, she said: “I am very proud of myself. Though it is just a stepping stone, I am glad that I am making my family happy.”
The 18-year-old made headlines in 2013 after bagging straight A’s in her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Eliana hopes to further her education in a reputable university and pursue a career in medicine.
