Sukutarians share photos of multi-million dalasi houses belonging to Physical Planning workers

Some Sukutarians have taken to social media to share photos of multi-million dalasi houses in Salagi belonging to the staff of the Department of Physical Planning.

One Ibrahim Bojang revealed the houses belong to "criminals" including Essa Camara, Mamadou Manjang, Musa Badjie, Lamin Jawara and Buba Sanyang.

He wrote on Facebook: "President Barrow here are your enemies, we want a fair fight at the election but these guys are effectively ending your presidency without a fight."

One Muhamadou Osman Dabo commented: "The kind of houses they build with their little salary is mind-blowing."

Another Facebook user, Dawda Jangum lamented: "So very sad and heartbreaking, seeing these Corrupt idiots in this present Gambia government squandering Gambia's meagre resources in the detriment of starving, helpless people."

Sukuta, also known as Sabiji, is currently locked in a battle with the Department of Physical Planning over alleged grabbing of their land. A demolition squad was recently deployed to demolish some of their structures.

The villagers vowed to fight to the bitter end in their bid to reclaim their lands.
