The Kettering community in England has shared an outpouring of grief after the tragic death of a 29-year-old Gambian.
Tairu Jallow, who recently got married, was stabbed in his apartment on Sunday after 9 pm. He was treated at the scene by paramedics but died of his injuries.
Some residents of Kettering, a small town in Northamptonshire, took to the What’s On-Gambia Facebook page, where Tairu’s death was announced, to share their sorrow at the loss of a much-loved member of their community.
One of his former work colleagues, Danielle described the 29-year- old as a “ kind heart with good intentions always.”
“I’m gutted he was a lovely guy worked with him at Specsavers, was very popular everyone loved him there he will be missed. He had a kind heart with good intentions always.”
Another resident of the town, Nicola Hudson wrote: “Too sad for words crazy that you've gone, my friend. My heart goes out to your wife and the whole family bless.”
Lyle Hawkes also commented: “RIP mate!! Such a shame!!! Absolutely shocked.”
According to the Northamptonshire Telegraph, investigation into the murder of Tairu is continuing and detectives are urging anyone with information that may help the inquiry to come forward.
