The Minister of Tourism and Culture, Hamat Bah's son, Birom has bagged a Spanish wife. 

The pair, who met in The Gambia, tied the knot on Monday after a whirlwind romance.

The announcement of their engagement last month gathered a lot of reactions on Birom's Facebook page.

One of his friends, Muhammed MS Bah commented: "Congrats bro! May this engagement be blessed abundantly."

Another Facebook user, Aarti Mahbunani Chang in London, UK, also took to the social networking website to congratulated Birom's wife, Mery. 

She wrote: "Aww!! Congratulations Mery!! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together!"

About Mery

She's not very active on social media, but sources revealed she is involved in charitable activities in the country. 

Mery is one of the supporters of the Kantora Action for Green (KAG), an environmental nonprofit organization that seeks to educate and empower young people to take action to care for the environment through sports.
