DJs and presenters at Capital FM can go back to playing Gee’s songs after a ban was lifted by the radio’s management last week.
Gee’s songs were suddenly pulled from Capital FM’s playlist after the controversial rapper blasted one of their DJs for accusing him of being a ‘copycat artist’.
Come on Mr. DJ, there is no such thing as originality in modern-day music!
The lifting of the ban was announced by Sist Njie during her popular WahSahalat show on Sunday. According to her, it was Jali Madi Kanuteh that managed to convince Capital FM to reconsider their decision.
Was it necessary for the radio station to isolate Gee?
“It made them look foolish in the eyes of radio listeners. People were constantly asking why they ban Gee,” said a Gambian music fan.
The country’s numero uno rapper is currently busy preparing for the launching of his new album in December. It’s expected to be one of the biggest events of the year.
