After less than two years of marriage, Oumie Fofana and Peter Braima have finally decided to end their romance.  It sounds like the former young Africell boss did not take his marriage vows very seriously. 

Oumie, who is now trying to move on, said she is not bitter towards her ex-husband. According to her, she took the brave step of ending the marriage after realizing Peter was no longer interested in taking it further. 

“It was rather unfortunate but Allah knows best. We realized our differences, I was betrayed, faith and trust were broken and we couldn't work it out.  Yalla nak moye dogal and I'm glad lee la dogal,” she told What’s On-Gambia. 

The 24-year-old, who is still tight-lipped regarding the reason behind the split, said she has learnt that sometimes it is best to go separate ways. She also said she has no regrets about getting married; 

“Marriage is one of the most important decisions you will make in your entire life. It doesn’t matter if you decide when you’re 18 or when you’re 65 as long as you’re sure it’s the right decision, the right person, and God is not going to be pushed aside for it.” 

Although she is currently single, Oumie is not yet ready for a replacement husband. She added: “I've learnt to trust "None" and always put myself first.. Lesson learnt!” 

The mother-of two got married to the former Africell boss in August 2012 after dating for three years. She holds a diploma in Marketing and Public Relations and currently engaged with Absolute Glam Entertainment.
