You want to be me, but you don’t like me: Fatou Camara takes veiled swipe at Fatou Touray

Popular journalist, Fatou Camara took a veiled swipe at Kerr Fatou host, Fatou Touray last week and vowed she would not be intimidated in the New Gambia.

“I set the pace whether anybody likes it or not, that’s the fact,” she said in a Facebook live video.

The former GRTS presenter didn’t mention Fatou by name but slammed media practitioners who are trying to block her return to telly.

“I am a Gambian. Nobody is going to block anything I am going to do”.

She added: “Why do you think Fatou Camara has to be held for you to go. If that’s what you think, it’s not happening.”

According to her, it took her more than 20 years to get to where she is today.

“You want to me but you don’t like me.”

The mother-of-three, who recently returned to The Gambia from the USA, threatened she would take the law into her own hands and crush all the people trying to dim her light.

“Let the police hear this. I really don’t care….. I will do whatever it takes even taking the law into my own hands if it is worth it because Gambian police anytime you have a situation you report it to them nothing comes out.”

About Fatou Touray

She is right now The Gambia’s highest-paid TV host. Her weekly talk show is worth more than D2m. Kerr Fatou recently made history by becoming the first talk show on TV to interview President Adama Barrow.
