A 49-year-old mother, who lives in the United Kingdom, has revealed that she was raped in The Gambia when she was 11 years old.

Aji Yamou Jobe said: "I was raped by one Morro Sankareh at the age of 11. He was a friend of my elder brother and because of stigma, I didn't say anything to anyone. I was a child and he ruined my life.

"This man has raped so many women and children in The Gambia and England. He raped his Somali ex-wife's daughter and was in jail here before being deported to The Gambia."

The 49-year-old mother continued: "His own daughter called me from Germany and said she was sorry that I am one of her father's victims. She disclosed Morro has raped so many women and children.

"The sad thing is he still continues to rape adults and children in The Gambia. One of his recent victims is a 5-year-old child."

Aji Yamou, who has a 26-year-old daughter, disclosed that Morro now owes a small restaurant in The Gambia. She said: "With the restaurant, he has access to the public and children."
