A PIU officer reportedly left residents shocked in Brikama after he was seen walking through the streets with what appeared to be a bottle of beer in his hand.
According to a source, the officer was reportedly coming from a bar and appeared to be intoxicated, allegedly staggering as he walked away from the establishment.
In a video shared with What’s On-Gambia, the officer could be seen speaking with a corn vendor while several passersby watched.
“He was drinking alcohol publicly,” the source said.
The circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether the officer was on duty at the time, remain unclear.
