If you were to ask which musician is the most popular on YouTube, most people would guess ST, Jizzle, or Attack. But dancehall artiste, A2 Di Fulani is fast becoming the most-watched Gambian musician on the American video-sharing platform.
Unlike most of his colleagues in the music arena, the Ta Tewto hitmaker has now mastered using YouTube to its fullest capacity. His Ta Tewto music video raked ONE MILLION views in less than four months after uploading it on June 25.
One of his fans commented:” This song deserves an international award.”.
A Liberian fan also commented: ”This song is a banger. My Scottish cousin loves this song so much. Love from Liberia."
His newest music video, Dimbu featuring Guinean-born singer, Zaga Boy was premiered on YouTube just 5 days ago and has already over 85,000 views.
Why does his music translate so well to YouTube?
A Gambian music enthusiast argued that A2 Di Fulani is consistent. He said: "He knows how to sell his music. His visuals are simple but very captivating."
The young singer struck a chord with many dancehall music fans in West Africa, and his fanbase is increasing every day.
