Alieu Bah, who is one of the most vocal young people in the country, stunned thousands of his Facebook followers after vowing that he will deactivate his account and never to return until Palestine is liberated and allowed to exist as an independent state.

The young activist is a fervent critic of Israel’s illegal occupation and unending aggression towards the Palestinians. 

However, shortly after making this announcement, his wagon of followers took to his timeline appealing for him to stay and continue using the media to condemn the hostility and speak out against all injustices the world is grappling with.

Thanks to the appeals from followers, Immortal as fondly called, has seemingly rescinded his decision.

Alieu once worked as an editorial writer for Standard Newspaper. He is currently volunteering with different youth groups involved in the promotion of democratic values in young Gambians.
