Actress Marieme Sy, popularly known as Nar Diop, has become the latest Senegalese celebrity to bag a Gambian husband.

The serial divorcée tied the knot with a Switzerland-based Gambian in a traditional wedding ceremony last week in Dakar. Some of Nar Diop's close friends and family members were in attendance.

Senegalese media revealed the actress received D1million from her Gambian husband. She was also gifted a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max and jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of dalasi.

When asked by a journalist whether she is a co-wife, Nar Diop responded: "No, I am the only wife. I am his first and only wife."

She disclosed they met when she was on holiday in Sweden, but refused to reveal when they started dating.
