International reggae star, Peetah Morgan is heading to The Gambia. He will be performing at Duplex Nightclub on the 15th February and on the following day, it’s happening at Jokor Garden in Brikama.
Peetah is one of the most respected reggae singers in the world and he’s on top of the list of Jamaican stars that Gambian reggae fans are longing to see in concert. The 35 year old is the lead vocalist for the famous reggae band, Morgan Heritage. The band was established in 1994 by the children of Jamaican reggae artist, Denroy Morgan.
Gambian DJ, Masta Lion is the man behind Peetah’s appearance in the country. He’s a recognised DJ both home and abroad.
One of the artists expected to make a guest performance in both Duplex and Jokor is Tenza, an upcoming reggae singer. It will be her debut on the smiling coast. Despite being a complete stranger to Gambians, Tenza is planning to drop a mouth-watering performance.
A reggae fan in Brikama, Fa Lang said to What’s On-Gambia: “I love Morgan Heritage! Peetah is a great singer and I’m definitely looking forward to watch him live on stage.â€
The excitement is already building up and Masta Lion is optimistic that both venues will be packed with fans.
