Artist nga, dor politician: Gee tells Killa Ace in new single

Gee is back and he has a new single entitled Targgeh la, in which he offers advice to Killa Ace.

“Ace artist nga, dor politician. Still could make that change teh dor neka sa opposition. But you switched your mission, frustration ruined your vision. Pull à 'Mina Manneh' on them Chang! Senegal.. we miss him.

“Keep you in my prayers, when I pray, Nyu dorn hype, wala susuhal ana gaiy today? You dropped singles hardly had a 1000 plays. Diss waajie 30,000 one day what does that say?”

Killa Ace sought political asylum in Dakar, Senegal after releasing Ku Buga C Geta G, a single critical of Jammeh’s government.

His fans were less impressed with Gee’s advice. They took to Facebook to condemn the Pipeline rapper.

Samsudeen Phatey, a US-based political activist, wrote: “If what you said in your song is anything to go by, you did politics in that song and showed what side you're on. If ‪Aceis stuck in Dakar, then what kind of a country are you living in and how honest are you to what you preach about people trying to bury people.”

When contacted by What’s On-Gambia, Gee said he wasn’t surprised that Targgeh la ruffled some feathers. According to him, it is not a diss track.

“I’m just telling a fellow artist dega,” he said.
