Austrian woman wants Barrow to respect the Coalition’s agreement

An Austrian woman, who is very active in Gambian social media forums, has joined the chorus calling for President Adama Barrow to respect the Coalition’s 3-year term agreement.

Maimuna Jallow told What’s On-Gambia: “He should step down after three years because that was what he promised Gambian voters.”

“A promise is a promise. People have hope in him and his promises and that’s why they voted for him.”

The Austrian woman, who was recently in the country on holiday,  claimed the leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Ousainou Darboe is the de facto President of The Gambia.

“Barrow is just the puppet of Darboe. Right now is Darboe –the power hungry guy since 20 years ago- who is secretly running the country and that’s why Barrow is refusing to comment on how long he is going to stay in power.”

According to Maimuna, nothing has changed since Barrow’s arrival.

She said: “Electricity supply is worse than before. The only person in The Gambia doing and trying is Mama Kandeh.”

“Just imagine the price for Tobaski ram was so exorbitant that only a few Gambians could afford it. This is because under the puppet there is no price control.

Maimuna, who is married to a Gambia, also claimed that Barrow is “selling the country to the West”.
